Mosquito Spray Work Pledged by Herrin District
William Snyder chairman of the Herrin Mosquito Abatement District says spraying will start in the next couple of weeks once a spray driver and several mailers are cleared. City council has not named a driver or made permanent appointments. Jeep and spray equipment were donated by the Herrin Kiwanis Club and the United Fund has provided 1000 dollars. Snyder notes a slight air delay and that spraying typically begins around this time with last year starting May 17.
