Weed control in wet fields faces rain delays and cautions
Wet conditions hinder planting while weeds grow. Mike Plumer notes good tillage helps control many weeds though some have grown large. Herbicides such as 2 4 D Banvel Atrazine and Lexone can help postemergence or pre emergence but rates and timing matter to avoid crop damage. Use timely rotary hoeing and postemergence treatments as needed for best weed control.

Pigs fed with ear shot show faster growth leaner meat study
SIUC researchers inject barrows with a blend of testosterone and soybean oil behind the pig’s ear to boost weight gain on less feed while reducing odor-causing compounds. Early tests on 18 hogs showed modest gains and lower feed use, with calls for more research on dosage and timing.
