Lesser job status still uncertain for water supervisor
The Lesser Water and Sewer Commission will keep Leonard Atkins as acting water superintendent for three months while awaiting action on the position. Atkins, earning 550 monthly, has been with the water department since prior to May when Ralph Harkins was terminated. Harkins was rehired by the city council in April. the council and commission may need to resolve ordinance questions as to authority over the appointment.
