Perry County man charged with three felonies after hospital beating
David A. Shockley 25 of Perry County is charged with armed violence and two counts of aggravated battery for a July 14 beating in Cutler near a vacant business. Larry Thompson, the victim, was hospitalized overnight. Bond set at 5,000 dollars as trial nears.

Franklin County Hospital to expand with $4 million grant
