A Cape Girardeau officer reported the chase began after a traffic stop attempt and ended when the van crashed into a ditch on I-57 around 5 PM. The driver faces Class D felony counts for revoked license, failing to yield, careless driving, and failure to stop at signs. Official statements cite Carl Kinnison of the Cape Girardeau police and Illinois state police coordinating the investigation.
