Farm size ethanol plant eyed for Pulley's Mill Energy Park
Little Egypt Energy Inc plans an 80 000 gallon per year 200 proof ethanol facility at Pulley's Mill Energy Park north of Goreville. The plant from Process Design Inc of Macon Nebraska will be demonstrated and sold to livestock and grain producers as a tool to improve farm profitability. Meredith says the system yields 200 proof ethanol without destroying grain nutrition and that the by product has higher protein content. Initial fuel will be bottled gas with a planned coal incinerator later, cost around 120 000 including building and heat source. The site will host a sales office with computer simulations of investment return and the plant could be feasible on farms as small as 390 acres.
