West Frankfort police accuse Mary R Zumwalt Jophlin, 28, of concealing her 8 year old daughter's death after the child was found in a crawlspace of a home at 1704 East Heights. An autopsy by a child-expertise pathologist is pending, with further charges possible. A funeral fund for Alexus Smothers has been opened at First Bank of West Frankfort.

Arbitator rules Quinn must grant state workers pay raise
