Dioxin found near Illiopolis plant explosion site
Testing at 13 sites near Formosa Plastics in Illiopolis found higher than normal dioxin levels at 12 locations though officials say none are dangerous. Further testing planned to see if pollutants stem from the April 23 explosion that killed five workers and halted production. EPA spokeswoman Maggie Carson cautioned the process may be lengthy.
