Stocks retreat as jobless claims rise and Yahoo misses momentum

Wall Street fell after an unexpected rise in jobless claims spurred worries the rally ran ahead of fundamentals. The Dow ended down 120.17 at 9,036.04, Nasdaq slipped 31.60 to 1,715.86, and S&P 500 fell 13.51 to 988.70. Yahoo stock dropped 2.73 to 32.56 after earnings met forecasts but rating was cut to neutral.

Grain futures slip as weather brightens and crops rise
