Exxon Mobil admits Yellowstone spill may extend beyond ten miles
Exxon Mobil Pipeline Co acknowledges the Yellowstone River crude spill could stretch beyond the initial ten mile area as cleanup expands. President Gary Pruessing vows to do whatever is necessary to locate and remove spilled oil from the 12 inch line, while officials report up to 42,000 gallons spilled and ongoing riverbank contamination. Shooting suspect killed after six hour Philadelphia area standoff
A career criminal tied to an alleged insurance fraud scheme was killed by SWAT after a six hour standoff in Montgomery County. Mark Geisenheyner, 51, had vowed revenge on Paul Shay, a shooting victim, and shot Shay in the head inside Shay’s rural vacation home along with four others, including Shay’s nephew and a toddler. Investigators say Geisenheyner claimed the rap for an insurance scam. Shay filed a missing painting claim tied to a 2006 fire. The victims’ conditions were critical and the case remains under inquiry.
