Motorcyclist Hit By Truck In Illinois Crash
Police report a southbound motorcyclist, James D. Dunstan, 35, of Rossclare, struck a pickup on Illinois 34 near the Saline County line, was hospitalized, and airlifted to St Louis University Hospital after 3 p.m. Thursday. The truck driver Devin R. Kielhorn, 20, of Harrisburg, suffered minor injuries and is being treated. Investigation continues.

Education budget keeps regional superintendents but cuts seats
Gov. Rod Blagojevich signed an education budget preserving regional superintendents while cutting their numbers by at least half by 2005.
