Teen, 19, severely injured after attempting to hop a freight train
A 19 year old man was critically injured early Saturday when he tried to jump onto a moving northbound train at 1100 block of South Illinois Avenue in Carbondale. He fell and sustained life threatening injuries, taken to Memorial Hospital, then to a St Louis hospital, with ongoing treatment Saturday night.
