In Farmington New Mexico on January 22 a liquified gas leak caused a gas cloud to explode as about 70 cars passed a desert construction site. Twelve people were injured seven of them seriously. June Gorman was knocked from her car as flames swept a three acre area. A valve left open on the gas line sparked the blast.
