Warden Harold G. Miller announced on January 12 that the inmate strike at the Marion federal penitentiary is over though inmates remain dissatisfied. The administration will mothball the print shop and move the metal factory, reducing jobs by about 150 inmates and up to 28 staff. Policies will extend out of cell time, add a third hot meal, and boost recreation and education while most inmates did not return to work.
