Herrin civic center fund raiser Sunday for repairs
Herrin hosts an appreciation dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the civic center to fund repairs. A $5 ticket buys a mostacciolt meal with salad bread dessert and drinks. under 5s eat free. Tiger Booster Club volunteers will serve, seeking more help.

Sandy Webster regional Red Cross director admires a quilt donated by the Shawnee Quilters Guild. Started after 9 11 the quilt was completed recently by more than 50 quilters with 37 members piecing blocks. The guild donated the quilt to the Red Cross to raffled as a fundraiser.
