Willisville trustees name Steele as interim amid controversy
Willisville appoints Rosalyn Steele as interim village trustee after a vacancy from Donna Campanella’s arrest for library funds theft. The move faced no second on the vote, but statute allows the appointment to stand. The board also overhauls animal control with Larry DeSpain as contractor, adopting higher fines and a direct-to-pound policy. Additional actions include pursuing a housing rehab grant, honoring donor Max Vancil, reallocating beautification funds, and accepting treasurer Knope’s resignation.
