Stocks rise on jobs data and NK pullout impact
Stocks edged higher in a slow session on Friday as investors weighed a 6 percent unemployment rate in December and North Korea pulling out of an anti-nuclear pact. The Dow rose 8.71 to 8784.89, the Nasdaq gained 9.26 to 1447.72, and the S&P 500 held flat at 927.57, with weekly gains for all major indexes.
