In Oklahoma City a 74-year-old pensioner, Andrew Jackson Staggs, was stabbed to death in a downtown hotel lobby following a dispute over criticism of his cowboy boots. Police arrested 56-year-old Oren Nettles after a witness testified Staggs drew a knife, challenged Nettles, and then returned the weapon before the fatal stabbing. Nettles was not injured.
