Pedestrian dies after Metropolis crossing incident on Tenth Street
Roy L. Sledd, 46, of Metropolis, was struck by Lonnie R. Harrell, 36, while crossing Tenth Street at Speckman Street. Sledd died at Harrisburg Medical Center after air ambulance transfer procedures. Investigators from Illinois State Police and Saline County Coroner’s office are handling the case.
