Ring of commitment marks a life after loss
In New York a fiancée after Sept 11 keeps moving forward. Karen Carlucci, 29, honored her late fiancé Peter Frank, 29, by embracing small steps: work, gatherings, and a renewed sense of life as she awaits a wedding that never happened. The couple had planned a future in Greenwich Village, with a WTC view, but the tragedy reshaped everything. Karen gardens through grief, supports, and memorials, while Pete’s family seeks to keep her included as they navigate a shared heartbreak.
