Bank of Carbondale teller foils armed robbery attempt
A teller at Bank of Carbondale in University Mall refused to hand over cash as an armed man handed a note and displayed a revolver. The suspect fled after pocketing the gun. Police have a strong composite sketch and link the case to a Jan. 3 Huck's robbery. A 5'9" white male in his early 20s, 140 pounds, with dark blonde hair, gold rim glasses, and a black leather jacket was described, driving a green and white Chevrolet long bed pickup. Call Det.
