Dr John A Heidingsfelder, a forensic pathologist, disputes federal prosecutors’ assertions that he fled the country. He says he moved to the Cayman Islands in March 2006 for personal reasons and remains there practicing. He asserts no current charges and notes he has returned to the U.S. several times.
