Grandmother Dies After Saving Grandson From Icy Fall
Lula Woodlock 67 nearly blind grandmother saved her 10 year old grandson Lamont Woodlock from a fire on Boston's South End fifth floor. She slipped from a ledge while shielding the boy and fell five stories to her death near the concrete below. Her husband Frederick 68 died in a nearby hallway. Firefighters confined the blaze to the fifth floor and about 20 residents were evacuated.
