Oil Slick Kills Hundreds of Birds on Martha’s Vineyard Beach
Officials investigated a large oil slick washing ashore on South Beach Martha’s Vineyard as volunteers tried to rescue oil soaked ducks loons and other birds. Bomb attacks hit two GE facilities and warning linked
In New York two General Electric sites sustained slight damage Sunday night while a prior Washington DC vandalism was claimed by the same group. A third NY bomb was defused early today near GE’s Midtown headquarters. No injuries. The FBI probes the incidents and police see no confirmed link.

Mass highway dime spill bogs down morning traffic
A Ryder truck rear door opened on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Auburn spilling 40 money bags of dimes worth 40 000. Police said the 400 000 dimes covered about an eighth of a mile as crews used vacuums to recover the coins while traffic kept moving. The armored truck was en route to Brink s Inc in Boston from New Jersey. A following vehicle was damaged and towed. The incident occurred at 6 55 am.
