Chicago, Feb. 2. Edward A. Hayes, Republican candidate for the senatorial nomination, vows to present documented proof of Sen. Paul Douglas friendliness to Russia. Effingham February 2 St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital opened its doors rising six stories from the ashes of a blaze in April 1949 that killed 77 people including 13 babies, two nuns, a priest, and a nurse. The new four million dollar structure, partly financed by contributions from 48 states and 15 foreign countries, will have dedication ceremonies May 14 to 16 as Effingham marks its centennial.
