Area Roundup Brings Kodak awards and bike-a-thon plans
The Southern Illinoisan announces special merit Kodak awards to James E. Larson and Shoshana Wick Church for the summer photo contest. Other certificate winners include Alayne R. Buckle, Karen Grubb, Gilbert C. Reiman, and Bonnie Sue Fisher. The American Heart Association sponsors a March Bike-A-Thon from Mammoth Cave to Carbondale, about 280 miles, costing roughly $30 per person, with sponsor sheets available through the Heart Association or co-chairs Jon Schmidt and Sue Mroz. Plus football letters for Ron and Rob O’Neal of North Central College, detailing their 1981 season roles and team record.
