DeSoto man jailed after two-county high speed chase
A 42-year-old DeSoto man, Michael Buchanan, led deputies on a high speed chase from Broadway Street through Campbell Hill into Jackson County. He was arrested in a field by Jackson County authorities and jailed in Perry County after posting bond. Buchanan faces multiple charges including aggravated fleeing and reckless driving.

Crossville Driver Escapes Injury After Semi Wreck
Christopher D. Morris, 28, of Herrin, escaped injury in a one vehicle crash on Illinois 1 at Rudolph Street in Crossville. State Police reported the load shift bent the trailer causing it to overturn onto its side. Morris received two tickets.
