Auto Burglaries Reported On West Main Street Carbondale
Carbondale police report two auto burglaries on West Main Street Friday evening. Courtney M. Likovic’s vehicle at Mississippi Flyway lot (1925 W Main) between 7 and 7:46 p.m. lost a CD player and discs worth about 150 dollars. Clifton Wayne Reynolds’s car at Key West shop lot (1108 W Main) between 8:10 and 8:23 p.m. lost a Pioneer CD player, discs, drywall tools and other items valued around 650 dollars. John D. Homan.

Du Quoin police arrest three residents on warrants and theft charges

McKane sentenced for June reckless homicide
Jeremy McKane, a 20 year old Johnston City man, was sentenced in Williamson County Circuit Court for the June 9 crash that injured 18 year old Rebecca Barnett who died a week later. He received five years in the DOC with boot camp option, plus four years probation and mandated victim impact program and DUI awareness appearances.

Benton A 21 year old Sesser man Michael C Shores was found guilty of residential burglary in Franklin County Court after a three day jury trial He was arrested by West Frankfort police on June 20 2002 near East 9th Street and was caught minutes later near the Cogdill residence.
