Los Angeles man charged in 7 million divorce fraud case
Troy David Stratos, 45, faces 14 counts of fraud money laundering and obstructing justice in a scheme involving Nicole Murphy Eddie Murphy's ex wife. He allegedly persuaded her to invest divorce proceeds overseas in a trust, spending much of the funds on himself while falsely paying her expenses. Nicole Murphy had sued Stratos in federal court and in Florida.
