Virginia Tech repurposes Norris Hall into peace center
Virginia Tech will convert the Norris Hall classroom wing where 32 people were killed and wounded last spring into the Center for Peace Studies and Violence Prevention. The second floor will host an interactive learning space and a minor peace studies concentration, with the rest used for video conferencing and labs to lure students back to the building. The plan, approved by victim families, preserves part of Norris Hall while removing its classroom look.
