Third man sentenced in attack that killed two

A Joliet jury awarded 15.5 million in damages to Kevin Fox and Melissa Fox after they spent months jailed on charges they said falsely tied them to their daughter Riley's death. The suit names four deputies, the estate of a fifth and Will County.

Man pleads guilty to deadly Quincy fire

Zachary Meeks pleaded guilty to first degree murder for causing an April fire in Quincy that killed five children. The plea aimed to spare a trial and public exposure for him and the victims’ parents. The victims were Kendall Edwards 10 Althea Clark 9 Cameron Clark 5 Khalil Clark 3 and Kejuan Clark 5 months.
