Marker Buoys Studied for Kinkaid Lake Area
Kinkaid Lake Conservancy District studies a 70 buoy system to designate uses west of Murphysboro. Buoys would mark no boat areas near beaches and spills, limit speeds, and restrict power boats for water skiing to the dam side of the lake. Water skiing would be banned north and west of the first bend above Peters Cave. The state will install and maintain the markers and replace units as needed.
