Memorial service honors Falat's life and service
A memorial service for Master Sgt. Matthew James Thomas Falat 35 of San Antonio and Carbondale graduate will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church after a 5 p.m. visitation and 6 p.m. ceremony. Falat, former director of the Cardiopulmonary Course at Fort Sam Houston, died suddenly, prompting local and national tributes from his family and peers.
