Johnston City to answer Snyder suit on sewer project

Johnston City prepares a reply to a suit by W. E. Snyder Construction Co. over unpaid work on the sewer disposal system. City attorney Tom Haney said a Williamson County circuit court denied a motion to dismiss at a pre trial, with an answer due within two weeks. The city withholds payments to Triangle Construction Co. amid liens totaling about 121000, risking double payment if Snyder and subcontractors are unpaid. The project is partially funded by federal Public Works Acceleration Act funds and Triangle expects completion by February 1.
