Stephenson says he fled parole due to Klan reprisals
D C Stephenson testified he fled parole supervision in Illinois in early September fearing physical reprisals from the Ku Klux Klan. He left Carbondale August after a magazine article about him and the Klan and used a different name, Indiana authorities revoked parole then pursued him.
