Eagle Scout Board of Review Set in Benton Herrin

Review targets are David Harp Don Knapp Don Carlton William Davis Joseph D Smith and Allen Moore with Earl May appearing as Scoutmaster. The Eagle rank requires 21 merit badges including 13 in swimming first aid life saving camping citizenship bird study pathfinding pioneering safety and athletics. McKinney chairs the committee replacing James Vargo who resigned due to ill health.

A committee of the Egyptian Council will meet Friday evening to review the work of the volunteer Scouters in the Council area. The committee will make recommendations to the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America for the Silver Beaver award. Names of the recipients are not made public until the time of the presentation. Committee Chairman Herbert Ashley, Marion, stressed the search for men of distinguished service.
