Mental Clinic Use Rises At Southern Illinois Clinics
The Murphysboro and Johnston City offices of the Southern Illinois Mental Health Clinic report rising caseloads. Murphysboro opened 36 cases in the quarter ended Sept 30 with a projected 48 for quarter ending Dec 31, a 33 percent rise. Johnston City logged 15 cases in Sept 30 with the same projection for Dec 31.

Girls Hurt Three Injured Near Benton
Three girls were hurt when their car ran off Bend City Road northwest of Benton at 8:30 p.m. Willard Dame, 17, Lesser, escaped injury. Injured were Linda Reid, 15, and Judy Murray, 15, both of Lesser, and Phyllis Eubanks, 15, of Scheller. Additional wrecks followed with minor injuries and no tickets issued.

YMCA Plans Member Drive In Carbondale 1965
The Carbondale YMCA will start its 1965 membership drive on January 24. Drive chairman Jack E. Keene will head about 75 campaigners aiming to add 500 new or renewed memberships. The YMCA currently has 407 members.
