Nixon and Ceausescu Sign Joint Peace Declaration
President Nixon and Nicolae Ceausescu signed a joint declaration during a two day meeting in Washington. The leaders pledged to expand trade cultural relations and humanitarian efforts for world peace and affirmed every nation’s right to existence independence and sovereignty. Ceausescu is in the United States for a seven day visit in return for Nixon’s 1969 trip.

Lindsay papers to city and Yale after mayoralty
John V. Lindsay plans to divide his papers between the Municipal Archives for government records and Yale University for non governmental materials. SIU Board of Trustees to Meet December 13
The Southern Illinois University Board of Trustees will convene at 11 a.m. December 13 on the Carbondale campus to review 1974-75 budget recommendations approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
