Scout campaign aids Hurst pantry with 750 items and funding
The Boy Scouts of America campaign donated about 750 food items to the Hurst food pantry, which also received a $200 check from the village of Bush to cover a month’s rent. Pantry spokeswoman Mary Nellis noted low supplies and thanked the community, adding the pantry serves up to 27 people weekly and supports Christmas baskets. The pantry operates Wednesdays 1 to 3 p.m. at 120 N. Bush St. in Hurst.
