History Week Medallion Highlights Illinois Heritage
The official medallion for Illinois History Week features Chief Illiniwek on one side and the first state capital at Kaskaskia on the other. Observances marked the state’s 15th anniversary with an open house at the Pierre Menard Home near Chester. Randolph County Historical Society members served French bouillon from the home’s kitchen fireplace.
