Narration by John Riley, price 12 plus shipping, available online or at Colyer Hall and SIU Student Center. Pre-orders invited, delivery expected by late December. Proceeds fund the Mike Reis Scholarship for SIU Dawg Pound members starting 2008-09.

Tim Murphy of Candy Cane Lane reports vandalism and theft of decorations including five of his nine dancing ladies from the Twelve Days of Christmas. He notes Halloween vandalism earlier and says parents reimbursed him for some losses while charges were pressed. More than 26 homeowners decorate the route.
Gary Pearson of Marion, general manager at Southern Illinois Regional Landfill, formally declared his bid for Williamson County Board at a Herrin press conference. He aims to unseat Democrat incumbent Bob Barnett, with Ron Ellis as the lone Republican filing against Barnett for the February primary. Pearson emphasizes business experience and public service as his qualifications.
Lois Murphy director of Murphysboro Main Street says several community organizations may join a cooperative effort after the holidays. Regular meetings will start at the Liberty Theater to learn partners plans and offer help. Murphy has spoken with the Friends of Murphysboro Foundation about participation.
Kinder Morgan agreed to a 25 million civil settlement over the sale of excess coal from sites including its Cora facility near Rockwood in Randolph County. The case cites 258 725.84 tons sold, costing TVA about 6.6 million, with TVA contracts to buy the coal. U S Attorney A Courtney Cox announced the settlement outlining rail to terminal handling and stockpiling before barge delivery to TVA.
