Marion TIF meeting draws one attendee in brief session
A Marion public meeting on a proposed amendment to the Marion Golf Residential TIF District drew one resident who had no questions. Mayor Bob Butler said he received no more than two written comments and attendance included Butler and two council members. The hearing is required if the district has more than 75 residences. The amendment adds costs to fund street work and other public and private costs but will not raise taxes. A joint review board will evaluate before council action. Contact Gail West for details.
