Carbondale zoning board halves overbuilder bid on house addition
The Carbondale Zoning Board of Appeals overturned a code enforcement action partly in favor of Henry Fisher, a major landlord. It allowed the second story addition at 502 S Beveridge St to be as large as the original but ordered removal of one foot from the sides and denied a one foot variance. City planning official Linda Gladson warned the decision may spur buyers to seek outdated homes to gain larger additions. Fisher was unavailable for comment.
