Truckers to receive charters at Anna meeting
Southern Illinois Tri-State Truckers Association chapters in Union Pulaski Pope Hardin Johnson Alexander and Massac counties near 50 percent of motor carrier holders will get charters at eight p m today in Anna. The conferring enables chapters to elect chairmen and discuss a protest program. The group opposes further authorities and urges tighter state regulation through the Motor Carrier Division. The open meeting at the White House restaurant includes the 1240 members and other truckers with for hire authority.
