A good man steps down
Regional editor notes the retirement of Ralph Micken, longtime professor and chair in the Southern Illinois University Carbondale speech department. Since 1987 at SIUC, he mentored about 70 undergraduates at Illinois State University Normal and guided many to doctorates. Old debate students honored him with a banquet. he delivered a speech from 1964 notes.
