Brist Jefferson County Jailer Charged With Sex Crimes
Gary Lynch, 54, of Bonnie, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department jailer, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, custodial sexual misconduct, and official misconduct. Police say he allegedly assaulted an inmate at Jefferson County Jail. Lynch is held on a $50,000 bond at Washington County Jail. Bethany Krajelis

Hundreds attend funeral for Jade Winston and Jerome Mitchell

Marion district wins case against Robert Marsh
A federal jury in Benton awarded the Marion Unity School District victory over Robert Marsh after a four year dispute over illegal assemblies pizza party sponsorships and religious activity in schools. City officials advance plans for a $6.5 million 32 000 square foot police headquarters at the former Lincoln Middle School site funded by a local sales tax.
