Salukis regain quarterback with Carr’s SIU return
Salukis welcome back quarterback Gerald Carr after his return from North Carolina. Carr, a sophomore, rejoined SIU to join John Cernak as the depth chart’s remaining experienced passer and help stabilize a quarterback room shaken by three quits. He cites family support and proximity to home as key factors in coming back, and he believes SIU will have a great year with coach Dempsey and the team.
