Garbage hearings set in Murphysboro
Public hearings on switching Murphysboro to a citywide garbage program will be held Aug 28 29 and 30. Mayor Ron Williams says the meetings aim to allow broad attendance at the senior citizens center and the adjacent Davis McCann building. The proposal from Snyder Disposal would charge residents 8.95 monthly for a 95 gallon tote or 7.95 for a 65 gallon tote with recyclables included for three years.
