New gas and grocery store planned east of Pinckneyville
Pinckneyville council approved the sale of 6.34 acres on Illinois 154 to Bill Stotlar Bruce Cope and Karla Nehring for 34870. They plan a convenience gas grocery store adjacent to Beelman Ready Mix with brand-name fuel and groceries. Construction could start late August with completion by early December. The land had been sold to Farm Services who abandoned the project and the city exercised a buy-back clause.
