Indictment Alleges Navy Contract Fraud Schemes
A federal grand jury charged four individuals and two companies Chromcraft Corp and Alsco Inc with conspiracy to defraud the government of about four million dollars in navy rocket launcher production. Defendants allegedly created dummy firms Bregman Electronics and Scientific Electronics to route funds, submitting false invoices to Chromcraft and Alsco and later to banks in Switzerland. The case notes Alsco remains sole source for 2.75 inch rocket launchers. Also included is obituary detail for Leo Edward Nordberg of Chester who died at 66.
